Welcome to Castle Point HomeChoice.

Castle Point Borough Council's choice-based lettings system for allocating Social Housing within the borough.

We welcome new applications from residents who meet our eligibility criteria and existing Castle Point Council tenants who need to transfer within the borough.

The Castle Point borough is approximately 45.08 km2 with a population of 88,900 people and is nestled between the larger districts of Southend and Basildon. On average 82% of households in Castle Point own their own property, 12% privately rent and just 5% are social tenants.  Castle Point borough is the second smallest stockholding council in the country, having just over 1500 properties, including 8 Sheltered Housing schemes.

Properties are advertised on a weekly basis from Thursday to Sunday, and shortlisting is typically completed on a Monday or Tuesday the following week. Please remember, as a small council, there may be weeks where we have no properties available and it is extremely important to ensure that you keep us up to date of your situation and contact information.
