Processing times for applications are currently taking over 12 weeks due to high demand and the increasing complexity of cases. 

This time scale is subject to having all required documents uploaded to the application. Further delays will occur if supporting documents are missing.

Please be advised that acceptance on to the Castle Point housing register is not a guarantee that housing will be provided. The demand for social housing is extremely high against a very low supply and the wait for housing is indefinite.

Due to the very high volume of applications and enquiries, we are unable to respond to email requests for updates on processing times.
