Change to phone lines

Change to phone lines

From Monday 13th March 2023 we will be trialling a change to the opertating times of our phone lines.

We will now be open from 9.30am to 12.30 pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Please remember if you cannot get through during these times you can email us on housingadvice@castlepoint.gov.uk  

If you plan to visit our offices for what ever reason, please call to book an appointment slot on 01268 882330.


Christmas Closure

Christmas Closure

Castle Point Borough Council will be closed from 4pm on the 22nd December 2022 and will reopen on 3rd January 2022.


Any enquiries received will not be responded to during this period. Upon reopening on the 3rd January 2022 all enquiries will be dealt with in strict date order.

Applications are currently taking 6-8 weeks to be assessed.

We would like to wish all our customers a Very Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.

Homechoice Team unavailable on Friday 9th December 2022

The Castle Point Home Choice team will be out of the office on Friday 9th December 2022 due to staff training and we will also be having a Christmas Party afterwards to celebrate the successes we have had throughout the past year .

This means there wil be no telephone, email or face to face services on this day.

All services will resume on Monday 12th December 2022

You can email us on housingadvice@castlepoint.gov.uk or send a web message which will be dealt with on our return.

Changes to phone line opening times

From Monday 7th November 2022, our phone line opening times will be temporary reduced to 1.30pm to 4.30pm Monday - Friday.

This is to enable us to focus on urgent casework and backlogged applications.

If you are unable to call us during these times, please feel free to email us on housingadvice@castlepoint.gov.uk whereby one of the team will contact you or respond within 7 days.

Please remember visits to the main council office are by appointment only.

Applications are currently taking 6-8 weeks to be assessed - subject to all documents being received.

Please remember to provide ALL supporting documents wihtin 14 days of submitting your application.
