Change to phone line opening times.

Change to phone line opening times.

In order to be able to assess your homechoice applications more quickly, we have made a temporary adjustment to our phone line opening times. 

The housing options phone lines are now only open between 10am - 4pm Monday - Friday.

Currently housing register application are taking in the region of 6-8 weeks to assess which we hope to reduce over the coming weeks.


Application Delays

Applications are currently taking between 6-8 weeks to be assessed.

To ensure there are no further delays in the assessment please remember to provide ALL supporting documents wihtin 14 days of submitting your application.

A list of the documents needed can be found on our FAQ page

Please do not chase the team unitl at least 6 weeks have passed and you have provided all documents.


Christmas Closure

Castle Point Borough Council will be closed from 4pm on the 23rd December 2021 until 8.45am on 4th January 2022.


Any enquiries received will not be responded to during this period. Upon reopening on the 4th January 2022 all enquiries will be dealt with in strict date order.

Applications are currently taking 6-8 weeks to be assessed.
